I must’ve tried dozens of chargers over the years, but in the last year or so, less known brands have really elevated their game, with Aukey being on the forefront of this. If you’re still unconvinced then maybe this short list of positives will change your mind. Aukey’s OmniaChip does the job right, and it’s powered by GaN technology. This leads to 3x higher power density, 40% less energy waste, and it protects it from overheating, short-circuiting, over-current, etc. These adapters simply don’t heat up like their predecessors despite being so tiny. And speaking of tiny, this adapter is incredibly small & lightweight compared to the big, bulky chargers of the past; there really is nothing like it. And it’s so handy too. The USB-C PD port will work with a laptop, a smartphone/tablet and even a Nintendo Switch without damaging them. The adapter’s super-fast charging speeds and gadget camouflage is a win for tech lovers like myself.
Aukey 61W PD Wall Charger: Final Review
What else is there to say except go Aukey. The company has done a great job in reinventing the charger category through constant iterations and transformations of everyday products. And for that I’m happy to give the Aukey 61W PD USB-C Wall Charger 4.9 out of 5 stars. Normally I’d ding it for having a singular port. However, the company does offer dual port options too so no ding here. But I’ll still fault it for not including a charging cable; this should be a packaged deal at this point even if it causes the price to go up a bit. Additionally, it only does 25W for the Note 10+ so if you want the fastest charging speeds then stick with the original charger. If I find other faults then I’ll be sure to update this review, but so far I have nothing but praise for this product. It’s extremely light and small, it fast charges my devices, and it’s much more reliable than chargers of the past. I highly recommend the Aukey 61W USB-C PD Wall Charger because it can do it all, and the Omnia Series got a Best of CES 2020 award from Android Police so that’s gotta be something right.
