Video buffering is one of the most annoying problems you will encounter while streaming videos or movies online. This gets in the way of your viewing and could ruin the entire experience.  Unfortunately, this has been the case for some Funimation users who encounter buffering issues while watching their favorite anime. 2. Restart Your Device. 

The first thing you should do whenever you encounter problems with Funimation or any app is to restart your device. 3. Check Your Network Connection. 

When streaming content online, you will need a stable connection to avoid issues. If you encounter buffering issues on Funimation, it might indicate a problem with your internet connection.  To confirm this, perform a test using Fast.com to measure your network’s upload and download bandwidth.  If the result indicates a problem with your connection, restart your modem or router to re-establish the link with your ISP’s servers. Disconnect your router from the outlet and wait for 5 to 10 seconds before reconnecting it.  Once done, re-run the test to check if the problem is solved. If not, contact your service provider and let them handle the situation. 

4. Lower Video Resolution. 

Videos that keep buffering might be an indication that your network is unable to handle the stream. If this is the case, we suggest lowering the stream resolution on the app to reduce the load on your network.  Instead of running the stream at FHD or 4K, try streaming at 720P or lower until the issue with your connection gets resolved. 

5. Update Funimation. 

If you continue to suffer from buffering issues on Funimation, try updating the app to the latest version. The version you are using might have an underlying issue related to streaming and network.  For Android:  For iOS:  Try streaming another show afterward to check if the problem is solved. 

6. Reinstall Funimation. 

If none of the solutions above worked, the last thing you can do is remove the app from your device and install a fresh copy.
