Walter B Shillington Unfortunately, this watch’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 2100 Processor, while extremely quick and capable, requires plenty of power to run. Unless I were willing to turn off both wi-fi and Bluetooth, the Wear24’s battery would not last a full day. I decided to replace it with an inexpensive smartwatch equipped with a better set of health monitoring features and a battery that would last for more than a day or two. I chose the Umidigi Ufit, mostly because the same company had manufactured my cellphone.

The Umidigi Ufit weighs in at 39 grams. It is 36 millimeters wide, 42 millimeters high, and 12.5 millimeters thick. This watch is fitted with a 19-millimeter-wide black silicon strap. This rectangular-shaped timepiece is equipped with a 1.3-inch color TFT LCD touch screen composed of 2.5D tempered glass. Visible from the bottom of this device is the Relative SpO2 sensor, PPG biological tracking optical sensor, 3-axis acceleration sensor, and 3-axis geomagnetic sensor. A single control button is fitted to the right edge of this watch. The Umidigi Ufit is Bluetooth capable and, via the VeryFitPro application, can be used with Android and iPhones. Visual Appeal
The Ufit’s case is composed of flat-black colored stainless steel, which well matches the attached silicone strap. This lightweight timepiece features a modern, simplistic, and conservative design. It can be worn with both casual and formal attire.
The Battery
A 160mAh lithium battery is used to power the Umidigi Ufit. It takes about 2.5 hours to recharge using the included USB cable with its magnetic charging connector. Under normal circumstances, this watch will last seven to ten days before requiring a recharge. I generally connect it to the charger every eight days, when the battery level drops to around 24 percent.
Display and Sound
The screen’s brightness is adjustable and can be read even when bathed in sunlight. Unlike my last smartwatch, the Umidigi Ufit cannot display video and is equipped with neither a speaker nor a microphone. This smartwatch can establish a Bluetooth connection to a phone, using the VeryFitPro application.
Operation
It is relatively easy to operate the Umidigi Ufit by swiping across the watch face and selecting the proper icons. A side button is used to turn on the screen and respond to specific notifications and alarms. It almost seemed as if the Version Wear24 smartwatch could read my mind. As soon as I glanced down at my wrist, the screen would light and display the time. I activated the wrist flip option on the Umidigi but, in comparison to my original watch, the result proved disappointing. The function works about 80 percent of the time, and, unfortunately, there is a short but irritating delay before the screen becomes active.
Fitness Functions
The Umidigi Ufit can be set to several different sport modes. These include walking, spinning, running, yoga, hiking, climbing, treadmill, bicycle, and workout. It counts your steps and estimates both distance and calories burned. This watch also monitors blood oxygen (SpO2), blood pressure, and heart rate. During tests I noted that the heart rate monitoring was correct, but blood pressure read low. I did not verify the blood oxygen readings due to a lack of testing equipment.
Calls and Messages
Although this watch cannot be used as a phone, I did set it up to vibrate and visually provide the name of the caller.

Four different watch faces can be selected for use on this timepiece.
The Application
The VeryFitPro program works very well. It provides plenty of information and can be used to adjust many of the watch’s features. This application can be utilized in conjunction with Google Fit and Strava.
Additional Features
This watch is equipped with a timer, a sleep monitor intended to analyze the wearer’s sleep patterns, a music controller, and a sedentary reminder.
Overall Impression
I like this watch. Battery life is good, and it includes the fitness features I require. I’m not particularly happy with the wrist flick function, but I suspect I will soon become used to Umidigi’s version of this feature. There are better smart fitness watches available, but their price tags are also considerably higher. In the forty to fifty-dollar price range, the Umidigi Ufit is very competitive and well worth considering. After my Samsung Galaxy Watch’s battery bit the dust, I didn’t want to replace it with another watch that costs hundreds of dollars and only lasts a year or two. This Umidigi Ufit is filling the gap for a lot less. And, it syncs with Google Fit. There are quirks and comprimises, but for under $40, heck yeah, worth it.
