Walter B Shillington My world-rocking, unfortunately, will have to wait. I’ve just blown my budget on a fancy new cappuccino machine and the grinder required to pulverize the espresso beans that feed it. Unwilling to completely give up my dream, I did pick up a set of inexpensive DJ headphones from Vogek. Over the next few paragraphs, I’ll describe how well my new purchase functions.

Description

The Vogek DJ headphones weighs in at 11.1 ounces and, due to the inclusion of ear cushions designed to enclose the entire ear, makes use of passive noise resistance. Its speaker cups swivel up to 90 degrees and pivot slightly to provide a comfortable fit and allow compact storage. Both right and left arms adjust to conform to the size of the wearer’s head. A 50-millimeter speaker driver is enclosed within each of the earpieces. The speaker cups are covered with memory foam and protein leather, providing sound isolation and comfort. The headphone’s cable includes a section composed of curly cord, permitting the wearer to venture about nine feet from where the device is connected. An adapter may be used to convert the 3.5-millimeter plug to one capable of fitting into a one-quarter inch jack.

Test Results

I plugged the headset into the 3.5-millimeter jack of my cellphone and used it to listen to music and watch Netflix. If required, the quarter-inch adapter could have been fitted, allowing this device to be connected to the headphone jack of a mixer, guitar, or an amplifier. Sound quality proved excellent due to the use of 50-millimeter speakers. I was especially impressed by the bass response and clarity. While I prefer earbuds because of their light weight, the Vogek DJ headphones could be worn for long periods without discomfort. This device is fitted with memory foam and protein earpads, which cover my earlobes entirely. The overall length of the headphone’s cable is just under five feet but can be stretched further. This is ideal inside the house or when moonlighting as a DJ, but you wouldn’t want to wear this device during your morning run. The fit and finish are excellent. I found no problems related to quality control.

Overall Impression

I feel that this headphone’s ability to reproduce sound is excellent. It fits comfortably, and the device’s long lead proved to be convenient. If you are in the market for a set of low-priced headphones which can be physically connected to a multitude of devices, Vogek’s DJ headphones are worthy of strong consideration.
